Scope
This standard covers the process and materials for selective electro-desposition of various metals and alloys on ferrous alloys, aluminum alloys, copper alloys, nickel alloys and corrosion-resistant steel, etc.

While this standard practice is inactive for new design, it still is available for replacement purposes. MIL-STD-865D provides guidance on the process of electro-disposition (brush plating) for the Air Force repair, acquisition, and manufacture of parts and/or spare parts on the landing gear of all military aircraft.
Revision D is an extensive update to Revision C, so black lines in the margins are not available for this edition.
