Mechanical Vibrations of Shipboard Equipment (Replaced by MIL-STD-167/1 and MIL-STD-167/2)
Scope
This standard covers the requirements of most naval machinery and equipment as regards both internally excited vibrations, and externally imposed vibrations. In some equipment or installations, such as antennas, and large machinery items, it may be necessary to deviate from this standard. In such cases, special modifications shall be approved by the bureau of agency concerned.

This standard was replaced in 1974 by Parts 1 and 2 (MIL-STD-167/1 and MIL-STD-167/2). Only Part 1 is publicly available -- Part 2 is classified, so it is not distributed except to authorized organizations by the DoD itself.
