General Packaging Standard

Abstract

This Aerospace Industries Association standard establishes and defines the general requirements for packaging of commodities for domestic shipment and storage for a minimum of 90 days from time of receipt.

The new 3-page NAS 850 is used when specified on procurement documents, part design specifications, drawings other packaging standards or specifications.  Revision 7 replaces Revision 6 from November, 1983, which is now obsolete.
