This standard covers the common requirements to be used in military specifications for electronic equipment.

Claudia's Notes:
This standard was the technical baseline for the design and construction of electronic equipment for the Department of Defense for many years.  Back in the day when I first took over Document Center, Silicon Valley still supported a lot of government contract work so this was one of our big sellers!  In 1995, the document was cancelled and the contents were renumbered MIL-HDBK-454.  The handbook remains alive as a guidance document only, and can not be referenced as a requirement in any government contract.
