ASTM-F605 › Standard Practice for Determining Compatibility of One-Time Carbon Paper with Carbonless Copy Papers When Interleaved into the Same Manifold Set
The following bibliographic material is provided to assist you with your purchasing decision:
Scope
1.1 This practice covers a procedure for determining the compatibility of one-time carbon paper with carbonless copy papers, interleaved into the same manifold set by forced aging.
1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
Significance and Use
This practice is used primarily to determine the compatibility of carbon paper samples with carbonless copy paper in the same manifold set. That is, to observe if the carbon paper has or has not had an adverse effect on the carbonless paper image quality.
This practice can be used as an aid in predicting the field performance of a specific carbon paper grade in an actual carbonless form of designated composition.
This practice can be used for research and development, production, and quality control purposes.
