Scope
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the capability of various mechanical imaging materials to create reproducing images on paper lithographic masters.
1.2 These materials include:
1.2.1 Fabric typewriter ribbons,
1.2.2 Film and paper-base typewriter ribbons,
1.2.3 Crayons,
1.2.4 Ball pens,
1.2.5 Preprint inks and stamp pad inks, and
1.2.6 Pencils.
1.3 While the method of creating the images from the various materials will vary, the basic requirements for lithographic reproductive ability will be common to all.
1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
