The following bibliographic material is provided to assist you with your purchasing decision:
Scope
1.1 This standard guides the designer in the selection and recommended practices for application of mineral fiber materials and insulation systems used to insulate thermally or acoustically, or both, air handling duct work used for interior environmental control and operating at temperatures from 40 to 250°F (5 to 120°C).
1.2 This guide is limited to:
1.2.1 Duct system insulation design criteria,
1.2.2 Structural design of insulating systems that form the air duct, and
1.2.3 Accessory items necessary for the application and use of the insulation system.
